Dear friends,
When I first imagined what The Magnolia Inn could become, I pictured laughter spilling out onto the porch, the clink of glasses in the parlor, and the kind of celebrations that leave people glowing long after the last guest heads home. Weddings have become a central part of that dream — but not in the traditional sense of a single, jam-packed day.
A wedding day is beautiful, yes. But it’s also fleeting. Months (or years) of planning build up to 10 or 12 hours that pass in a blur. Couples often tell me afterward that they hardly remember eating, barely spoke to half their guests, and wished they had just a little more time.
That’s why we’ve leaned into the idea of a wedding weekend. And here’s what we’ve learned:
🌸 Connection, not chaos.
A welcome reception on Friday evening gives families and friends a chance to meet and mingle before the big day. By Saturday, hugs feel warmer, conversations flow easier, and everyone feels like part of the story.
🌸 Breathing room.
With the ceremony and reception as the centerpiece, couples don’t have to wedge every special moment into one timeline. Afternoon tea, a catered lunch, or even just porch time becomes part of the celebration.
🌸 A true farewell.
Sunday brunch isn’t just a meal — it’s a chance to relive the best moments, laugh over dance floor memories, and say goodbye in a way that feels intentional, not rushed.
A wedding weekend is more than an event. It’s a retreat, a gathering, and a memory that settles in deep for everyone who attends.
